Shelta Asset is a gated platform — every feature, from browsing properties to purchasing equity, requires a verified account. This page walks you through creating your landlord account and explains what to expect from signup to your first purchase.

The investor journey at a glance

Create account

Sign up with your name, email, phone number, and a strong password. Choose the Own account type to register as an investor.

Verify your email

A 6-digit code is sent to your email immediately after signup. Enter it to activate your account.

Complete KYC

Submit your identity documents for review. KYC approval is required before you can purchase or book property inspections.

Start owning

Browse the equity marketplace, choose a property, sign your Power of Attorney, and complete payment — minimum ₦3,000,000.

Create your account

Go to the signup page

Navigate to the Shelta Asset platform and select Sign Up. You can also reach it directly at /signup.

Choose your account type

Select Own — this registers you as an landlord with access to the equity marketplace. If you intend to rent a property instead, select Rent to create a tenant account.

Enter your personal details

Fill in the following required fields:
  • First name and surname (middle name is optional)
  • Email address — this becomes your login identifier
  • Phone number — enter your Nigerian mobile number with the +234 prefix pre-filled
  • Password — must meet all four requirements shown below

Create a strong password

Your password must contain:
  • At least 8 characters
  • At least one uppercase letter (A–Z)
  • At least one number (0–9)
  • At least one special character (e.g. !@#$%)
A live checklist appears as you type to show which requirements you have met.

Submit the form

Click Create Account. You are immediately redirected to the email verification page.
If an account already exists for your email address, you will see an error and should sign in instead. Use Forgot Password on the login page if you cannot recall your credentials.

Verify your email

After signup, Shelta Asset sends a 6-digit verification code to the email address you registered with. The code is sent automatically — you do not need to request it.

Check your inbox

Look for an email from Shelta Asset with your 6-digit code. If it does not arrive within a minute, check your spam folder.

Enter the code

Type each digit into the boxes on the verification page. You can also paste the full 6-digit code and the boxes fill automatically.

Confirm verification

Click Verify Email. On success, you are redirected to the KYC form to begin identity verification.
If the code expires or you did not receive it, click Resend code on the verification page. A 60-second cooldown applies between resend attempts.

Sign in to your account

Once your email is verified, use your registered email and password to sign in at /login.

Two-factor authentication (2FA)

If you have enabled two-factor authentication on your account, you are prompted for a 6-digit TOTP code after entering your password.

Open your authenticator app

Launch the authenticator app you connected to your Shelta Asset account (e.g. Google Authenticator, Authy, or any TOTP-compatible app).

Enter the current code

Type the 6-digit code shown in your app. Codes refresh every 30 seconds — enter the code before it expires.

Click Verify & Sign In

You are taken to your investor dashboard on success.
Two-factor authentication is optional but strongly recommended. You can enable it from your account settings after signing in.

Forgot your password?

If you cannot sign in, use the Forgot Password link on the login page. Enter your registered email address and follow the reset link sent to your inbox.

What happens after signup

After you verify your email, your account is created but access to the marketplace and investments is gated behind KYC approval. Here is what you can expect:

Complete KYC first

You are directed to the KYC form immediately after email verification. Completing it unlocks the equity marketplace. Learn more about the KYC process.

KYC review: 2–3 business days

After you submit your KYC, the Shelta team reviews your details. You receive an email notification once a decision is made.

Browse the marketplace

Once approved, you can view all active property listings, check projected ROI, and review equity availability before committing funds.

Invest from ₦3,000,000

The minimum equity investment per transaction is ₦3,000,000. You can hold positions across multiple properties.
